Kihlon joined Portola in April 2008 with extensive experience in Quality Assurance. He assists in the oversight of drug product manufacturing, batch record review, and lot disposition to support clinical development programs. He also is working to improve Portola’s quality systems. Among his most notable accomplishments is supporting elinogrel i.v. drug product manufacturing in the U.S. and abroad for the Innovate-PCI clinical trial, where he was responsible for Quality Assurance at two manufacturing plants. Working at Portola has provided Kihlon with a challenging and intellectually rewarding career, where he plays a direct role in developing new medicines. He also enjoys working with a diverse group of highly committed team members, including artists, runners, divers, martial artists and gardeners.
